Amazon Pivot Plan

Launched in 2017, Amazon replaced the widely used Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), with the Amazon Pivot Plan. The Pivot Plan offers Amazon employees with three options: to quit and accept a severance package, reach performance goals set by a manager over a set period of time, or request a transfer to another team.  Each of these options may be tied with different monetary compensation.
